Marc Doret has lived in Dorval for more than 31 years, was a municipal councilor for 12 years and has served as mayor of the City of Dorval since November 17, 2021. Having spent his entire life in the West of Island of Montreal, he chose Dorval to raise his family because of its unique and beautiful location on the shores of Lake Saint-Louis.
Having studied at the l’Institut d’informatique à Montréal in Montreal, he has long held various network management and IT professional services consultant positions within several international companies in the field of fashion and human resources management.
A member of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities for 14 years and recently appointed to the Public Safety Commission of the Agglomeration of Montreal and to the Montreal Audit Committee. He is also president of Golf Dorval, the Dorval Historical Society, the Dorval Museum, and sits on the economic development agency of PME West Island.
