The Emerging Municipal Leader is awarded to someone who is early in their municipal career but already making an impact through their drive, collaboration, and commitment to strengthening their municipality.
Eligibility Criteria
The nominee must:
- Be an early-career professional (within the first 5 years of their municipal career) working in or with a Canadian municipality or municipal organization
- Have demonstrated a meaningful contribution to their community or municipal organization
- Show initiative, curiosity, and a strong commitment to public service
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate and build relationships across teams and communities
- Contribute to municipal work through project leadership, innovation, problem-solving, or organizational improvement
- Show clear potential for future leadership within the municipal sector
