Energy recovery and the environment
The Quebec City biomethanation plant, slated for construction between 2019 and 2022, will use food waste and sewage sludge to produce renewable natural gas and fertilizer. On this tour of the city’s wastewater treatment plant and incinerator, you’ll learn about the recovery process and how the new facility will break new ground in terms of food waste collection.
