Are you interested in learning how to integrate climate considerations into your municipality’s asset management activities? Does your municipality have existing asset management practices, an inventory of your assets, and an understanding of climate vulnerabilities? We can help you plan your next steps.

Attend a workshop to hear from climate change, asset management and regional experts. You’ll learn actions your municipality can take to adapt asset management practices to become more resilient to climate change. These workshops will take place in regions across Canada and are tailored to the needs of municipal practitioners.

What you’ll learn

Participants will benefit from:

  • Enhanced knowledge of the provincial legislative context and key policies
  • A greater understanding of regional climate sensitivities and related best practices
  • Practical information and tools to help manage asset risk and vulnerability
  • Real world examples of climate integration within regional contexts
  • Information on green infrastructure and community resilience
  • Knowledge on accessing and using climate projections for infrastructure planning
  • Connecting to and identifying a network of peers

Who should attend?

Workshops are open to all municipal practitioners. They will be of specific use and interest to staff from municipalities that have:

  • A strong asset management foundation
  • An interest in the asset management and climate change adaptation enabling environment

Non-profit and private sector staff involved in municipal asset management and climate adaptation are also invited to attend.
