A more energy-efficient building in Baie-Saint-Paul to reduce greenhouse gas emissions — Backgrounder

The City of Baie-Saint-Paul will carry out a capital project to convert an old oil-burning central heating system to one that burns wood biomass at Maison Mère, the former Petites Franciscaines de Marie convent that the city acquired in 2016.

Backgrounder—Communities receiving funding for climate change staff support

Fifty-eight municipalities have been granted funding from the Government of Canada, through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities to supplement the salary of a new or existing municipal employee who will work on initiatives to improve adaptation to local climate change impacts or reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
