Dr. Bossé completed her studies in Veterinary Medicine at the Université de Montréal and in Clinical Sciences at the Université de Sherbrooke. After a short period of employment in the private sector, she joined the federal government as a research scientist in the late 1980s. She refocused her career toward technology transfer and research and development management in the late 1990s.
In 2015, she joined the Department of Natural Resources Canada as Chief Scientist and Assistant Deputy Minister of the Earth Sciences Sector. She held this position until April 2017 before becoming Director General at the CanmetENERGY Research Centre in Varennes, QC. The centre is part of the Innovation and Energy Technology Sector (IETS).
