Webinar: Energy Planning for Northern Communities
Wednesday, December 2, 2009
Northern communities face unique challenges and opportunities when it comes to energy use. A community energy plan that includes energy efficiency and renewable energy options can help your municipality reduce costs, keep more money in your community, improve public health by reducing pollution, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The Arctic Energy Alliance (AEA) will present its Community Energy Toolkit, a resource designed to address the specific needs of Northern communities. For the past five years, the AEA has worked with councillors and municipal staff in small, remote communities to help them produce energy plans. The City of Yellowknife will share the process through which it developed its successful energy plan.
