Webinar: Natural Areas, Conservation and Sustainable Community Design
Saturday, April 18, 2009
Land is a precious commodity not only for the environment but also for developers and municipalities. While some municipalities have enjoyed an abundance of buildable land, others are approaching or have reached the limit of open land for new development. Regardless of which situation your municipality is in, you want to protect the natural environment while ensuring quality developments for your community and a profitable outcome for the developer.
Sustainable Community Design (SCD) will introduce how several municipalities are applying conservation design and natural areas plans to specific neighbourhoods. Then go further so understand how the principles incorporate into broader sustainable community plans.
