Sustainable Transportation Options for Small, Rural Communities
Wednesday, April 29, 2009
Developing and implementing successful sustainable transportation plans provides communities with a unique chance to build partnerships between the municipal government, community groups and local citizens. In small, rural communities, these partnerships may help to overcome the unique challenges presented by sustainable transportation implementation in a non-urban setting.
This webinar will feature municipal staff and community non-profit representatives who will share their experience developing effective partnerships and planning, implementing and promoting sustainable transportation in a rural Ontario setting.
They will also explore the results of their successful sustainable transportation strategy, and share tips that will help other municipalities to develop their own plans.
