Local leaders across Canada come together on Parliament Hill with local solutions to tackle national challenges (20/11/2017)

Over 100 municipal leaders from every province and territory will be on Parliament Hill this Tuesday to Thursday, meeting with cabinet ministers and parliamentarians to turn federal commitments on infrastructure, housing and cannabis legalization into real outcomes for Canadians.

Local solutions are needed to tackle national challenges. This why the delegation will focus on two nation-building opportunities: bilateral negotiations on the federal Investing in Canada plan and the imminent National Housing Strategy.

Led by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), municipal leaders have more than 200 meetings scheduled and will further hear keynote speeches from Ministers Amarjeet Sohi, the Hon. Lisa Raitt and the new leader of the NDP, Jagmeet Singh.
