The Fire Chief manages the RM of Springfield’s Fire Services Departments and administers fire operation plans, implementation of the health and safety programs, oversees the Safety Codes Fire Discipline and Prevention program, fire training and emergency planning / response measures and assists with the development of Emergency Management Plans. The Fire Chief supports Council and Administration in the process of allocating resources and developing applicable by-laws, guidelines and policies related to the safety and protection of Municipal residents, property, environment, economy and reputation.
