Showcase your municipal project at SCC 2021

For over 20 years, the Sustainable Communities Conference has provided municipalities resources to build more sustainable communities across Canada.  Welcoming over 500 municipal leaders, this is the event to connect with this sector.  Should your organization want to get involved in this year’s virtual event, we do have some requirements, the main one being that you align with the Green Municipal Fund (GMF) mission (outlined below) and the second, that your solutions/project showcase fits within the overall environmental performance standards of the fund.  This is the baseline for ensuring relevance with the audience and creating an environment where all stakeholders will benefit.

We ask that all organizations review and cross reference the official SCC Industry Showcase criteria and submit your project/solutions (no more than 200 words).

GMF helps local governments switch to sustainable practices faster. Our unique mix of funding, resources and training gives municipalities the tools they need to build resiliency — and create better lives for Canadians. With our support, municipalities implement innovative and proven sustainability practices. These practices have directly improved quality of life for millions of Canadians by:

  • Supporting private home energy retrofits
  • Supporting energy efficiency in affordable housing
  • Retrofitting municipal owned buildings
  • Building new, net zero municipal buildings
  • Expanding recycling and waste diversion
  • Supporting green and active transportation
  • Restoring contaminated sites to productive use
  • Improving stormwater management and reducing flooding
  • Keeping energy dollars in the community
  • Growing local economies

GMF supports municipal projects that advance innovative solutions to tackle environmental challenges.
