Joyce Henry is the Director General of the Office of Energy Efficiency at Natural Resources Canada. Her department provides policy advice to the Minister of Natural Resources on how to maximize energy use in Canada. It also delivers programs, information, guidance and regulations to support Canadians, businesses, industry and the transportation sector to effectively reduce energy use.
Joyce has worked in a number of other federal government ministries, including holding progressively more senior positions at the Privy Council Office between 2004 and 2013, as well as at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
Prior to joining NRCan in September 2017, Joyce spent three years as the Director General of Marine Policy at Transport Canada. She also served as Executive Director to the Deputy Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities.
Joyce has a Bachelor of Journalism with combined Honours in Political Science from Carleton University.
